Raise the Bar Spoken Word welcomes a phenomenal line-up this month with a headline set from the wonderful Dan Simpson, and support from some of Bristol's finest talent in Samantha Boarer and Sven Stears.
RTB brings together students, non-students, and local writers of all ages, backgrounds and lyrical styles to provide a platform for artists to showcase and perform their work, as well as providing the very best entertainment for poetry fans.

We are hugely invested in talent development and offer an OPEN MIC each month, which you can sign up for on the door on a first come first serve basis. Please arrive at 19:30pm to sign up for the open mic. If extenuating circumstances will prevent you from arriving early to sign up then please email rtbspokenword@http://www.gmail.com, as we reserve 1-2 slots in advance to ensure everybody has an opportunity to perform.
University of Bristol students can receive discounted entry to all our events by signing up to the Spoken Word Poetry and Creative Writing Society online here for a small one-off fee of £3:
