The Zu Zu Men Experience at Sublime Bar, King Street.

A gig on Friday 29th June. The event starts at 20:00.

In the drawing room of Zu Zu Manor, the infamous Zu Zu Men reclined thoughtfully upon their exquisitely upholstered leather armchairs as they had on so many dark nights before. But this time something was different. Something had changed. The atmosphere was thick with gloom and the faint aroma of disappointment lingered in the air, mingling with the smoke from really expensive cigars and the rich beef pie Riddy Piddy had just eaten for dinner.

"I'm having some feelings" exclaimed Ollie suddenly, and everyone turned round to listen.

"These feelings you mention, " Said Matt"Are they good feelings or bad ones? "

Ollie thought for a few moments about the question.

"Bad, " he answered. "Very bad. "

Stu had been standing in the shadowy corner of the room and now he stepped into the light which threw his face into a sharp and melancholic relief.

"I know" he muttered"Since the Queen's jubilee celebrations ended I have been feeling genuinely depressed. "

"Yes" admitted Matt. "I feel so low about the whole thing that i sometimes wish i'd never been born at all. "

"That's a bit strong. " said Stu"I'm just a bit down about it, that's all. I wish...I wish... "

he broke off, almost in tears.

"You wish there was some other event that would bring the whole country together? To stand up as one glorious nation in the spirit of love, freedom and sheer unequalled joy" Interjected the enigmatic Riddy Piddy.

"Yes! " Said Stu Matt and Ollie all at the same time (Which does still happen sometimes).

"Well there is! " continued Riddy. he stood up to his full height, his chinos reflecting the soft, warm firelight of the drawing room. "Come on guys! Just because the jubilee celebrations are over doesn't mean that we can't still celebrate the fact that we are us! The magnificent Zu Zu Men! "

Riddy had a fire in his eyes that simply couldn't be ignored. So nobody ignored it.

"Let's play again at Sublime on King street on the 29th June! We'll play some kick-ass songs and we'll fruppin rock that joint! It'll be just great. I may have a heavily criminal past but by jingo do I know what I am talking about! "

"The 29th? " Ollie almost choked on the smoke from his shag-filled pipe. "Why, we know who's birthday that is don't we? "

All of the remaining Zu Zu Men's six eyes lit up.

"Gary Busey's! " they co-exclaimed.

With that the Zu Zu Men cheered triumpantly and carried Riddy on their shoulders, chanting his name and generally telling him how awesome he was for coming up with such a successful calendar date. What an evening it promised to be.

They were ready for their next appointment!
