Events on Sunday 17th June
“We are honoured to be hosting industrial music legend, Chris Carter, for a signing session. Chris is part of the line up for Sunday's South West Synth event, and we have arranged for him to join us prior to his performance to sign copies of his new album, Throbbing Gristle records and any other albums you would like to bring along. We'll have plenty of stock available for those of you who are looking to pick up something on the day.”

“"A musician and artist from on whose behalf superlatives are destined to fail. It’s not that his artistic output – spanning three decades, numerous albums, books of poetry and collections of drawings – simply eludes classification, it defies it. Often we hear that a true work of art is meant to speak for itself, and with the work of Daniel Higgs the maxim rings truer than ever. His art is of the cosmos, we on Earth merely lucky that it happens to be confined to our atmosphere, in our lifetime.”

“Spindle Ensemble are an experimental instrumental quartet from Bristol’s music collective BLOOM. They perform original compositions by Daniel Inzani that hover cinematically somewhere between classical, jazz and folk idioms, taking inspiration from artists such as Moondog, Maurice Ravel, Charle Mingus and Mulatu Astatke. Their debut album, Bea, was released as a luxury gatefold vinyl edition via new label Adderwell Music in Nov 2017.”

“Our series of free summer shows continues with Brighton's own Breathe Panel. With an upcoming debut album out 13th July on Fat Cat (produced by MJ from Hookworms), the band's dreamy, poetic project sprung out of a vibrant scene of musicians playing and gigging together. Between writing in a shared house basement and taking long walks on the South Downs, Breathe Panel have crafted their own sound based around the intuitive songwriting partnership of Josh Tyler and Nick Green.”

“Chris Carter has played a significant but often under-appreciated role in the development of electronic music - a journey that for Carter started ahead of his work with Throbbing Gristle (alongside Cosey, Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge), and continued through Chris & Cosey, Carter Tutti, Carter Tutti Void as well as his own solo and collaborative releases under his own name.”
