“Last year, award-winning independent film-makers, Pulse Films commenced work on a documentary tracing the history of the world’s most iconic reggae record label – Trojan Records. The culmination of their hard work was ‘Rudeboy: The Story Of Trojan Records’ - a superb visual and musical account of the label's history that through a combination of archive footage, interviews and drama, explores the power of music to break down cultural barriers and change lives and the eventual birth of a modern multicultural society”

“The Gypsy Wedding Trio – Once we knew them as Krasa, then they metamorphosis into Maramos before settling on their latest back-to-basics monicker. What’s not changed of course is the fire in their Balkan dance rhythms and the spirit of soaring solos on accordion, violin, clarinet and bass and you don’t need to be getting married to appreciate them.”

“Karolina Griškutė is a jazz singer from Lithuania now based in Bristol, United Kingdom. She started singing about four years ago. Last two years she was singing at the bars, restaurants and various other cozy corners of Lithuania's Vilnius and Kaunas cities, she has been discovering her listeners. Karolina is best known for her jazz and R&B. In January, she sang for Lithuania's REM Vilnius 2018 opening ceremony in Vilnius town hall, she also appeared at the Kaunas Jazz Festival in April. Her biggest dream has always been to become a jazz vocalist, form a jazz band and travel around Europe with them.”

“This Sunday we welcome back Paolo Guerriero to The Stag and Hounds. Visting from the summer from his teaching post in Turin, Paolo blends melodic Bebop lines with Post-Coltrane harmonic devices to create unique and ear catching solos, breathing new life into well-known Jazz Standards. Seasoned musicians are welcome to join in the second set for a jam session.”
