Events on Sunday 8th December
“Come and warm your hands by the soldering iron for a winter afternoon of synth building with PRRRRRT. The "Nom Nom Nand Nor" Synth is a tiny but powerful 4xNand gate synth using a 4093 chip. By adding sensors, and combining with e-textiles, this simple synth can become a light responsive musical instrument housed inside a soft toy, customised to each person’s creative choices. You will leave BEEF with a completely unique, strange little instrument to keep for yourself or give away as a cacophonous gift.”

“I will demonstrate the basics of needle felting and then allow you to be freely creative. You may choose to make boldly patterned baubles, a robin, a snowman, or old St Nick himself. You could even paint a snowy scene or starry sky using the wool fibres, or embellish them with beads.”

“This Sunday we are proud to host a very special edition of Jazz at The Stag and Hounds. Sam is one of the UK's top up-and-coming Jazz vocalists. Her warm and expressive voice has invited comparisons to singers as diverse as Anita O'Day, Ella Fitzgerald and Blossom Dearie. Sam will be paying tribute to one of the pioneers of Vocalease and leading bebop vocalists Annie Ross. The band will perform such classics as 'Twisted', 'Moody's Mood For Love' and 'Farmers Market' before opening up the floor to seasoned Jazz musicians in set two.”
