Artist Kelly Jane Jones creates a new performance for intimate groups, retrieving deep time resonances from the rock in a vaulted chamber long hidden under Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Kelly Jayne Jones is a Manchester based artist making work that combines performance, installation and sound. From working in DIY experimental noise, her practice has expanded to include dance, gesture, sonic drawings, stone sculpture and film scores.
She was one half of the group part wild horses mane on both sides, which disbanded in 2016, and has performed across Europe in DIY venues alongside commissions and performances at dOCUMENTA13, Tate Modern, ICA London and CCA Glasgow, Le Plateau Paris, Borealis Festival & Kunsthalle Bergen Norway, Tectonics contemporary music festival and Huddersfield contemporary music festival.
Kelly has been commissioned to present a site-specific multimedia performance within a mysterious and rarely-used vault deep beneath Bristol’s iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge.
