A
clubnight
held at Take Five Cafe
on Friday 26th October. The event starts at 23:00.
We’re returning to Take 5, after our debut night in June. We have been excited to announce this for a while!
Ifeoluwa (404/NTS)
We’ve been a big fans of Ifeoluwa for some time and cannot wait to hear her diverse selections in the Take 5 basement. A multi-talented artist, writer, DJ, head honcho of record label 404, and founder of the Intervention workshops she really optimises being a versatile artist and activist.
Intervention provides free DJ workshops for womxn, people of colour and non-binary / queer folk. These workshops have spread from Bristol to London, Manchester and now Leeds. Here’s a link to the page if you want to sign up for a session: https://www.facebook.com/interventionworkshops/
Ifeoluwa also holds down a monthly residency on NTS Manchester, pioneering the post trance and emo grime sound. She has just finished curating a series of events at the Arnolfini over summer and has also recently contributed to Discwomans mix series.
Luma (More Than)
We are extremely happy to welcome Luma back after her appearance at our Rave On Avon event back in May. Anyone who caught her set knows how passionate she is about great dance music and what a vibe she brings. Having previously played all over Bristol as a resident of the More Than crew as well as a festival in Bethlehem, she’s well seasoned selector.
This is a dance for everyone so respect everyone around you. We have zero tolerance of any form of harassment or discrimination be it racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or otherwise. If you breach this you will be ejected from the venue. If you feel uncomfortable at all through the night please let us or a member of staff know and we will deal with the situation.
