Miles Atmospheric (AER / ART / Aesthetic Audio / Freerotation):-
British born and based artist Miles Atmospheric (previously releasing under the name Miles Sagnia) has gained much respect as a DJ / producer over the last decade. With recent releases on Keith Worthys ‘Aesthetic Audio’ and Kirk Degiorgios ‘Applied Rhythmic Technology' as well as heading up his own ‘Atmospheric Existence Recordings’ his output is far reaching and making it into the bags of many.
In 2000, Miles won the UK Dance music magazine ‘Mixmag’ Dj Competition, and in the years following exhibited such highlights as a residency @ The Boutique, in London (Turnmills) / Brighton (Concorde2), along with guest spots all over the UK and internationally, including Ibiza, China, and Brussels, as one half of ‘Living City’ alongside close friend Toby Slade-Baker.
After the duo followed different paths, Miles knuckled down to conjure up more output, becoming more focused on solo material, passing on work to Keith Worthy’s Aesthetic Audio Imprint in Detroit.
The first EP passed over called ‘The Sounds From The Abyss’ recieved critical acclaim with a resident advisor review of 4.5/5, DJ magazine 5 ***
After 14 years as a committed DJ working the underground House & Techno scene in the UK, Miles kicked off his own imprint in 2009 “Atmospheric Existence Recordings” as a vision for his own solo productions and carefully selected guest artists.
‘Introspective Soul EP’ (AER001) won many followers and gained heavy rotation once again.
AER002 – The Causal Structure 12” ep devastated dancefloors and was charted by the likes of Kirk Degiorgio, Patrice Scott, Keith Worthy, jim masters, juju&jordash, arne weinberg, xdb, jus ‘ed amongst others.
Miles took his imprint A.E.R. onto the airwaves of London’s award winning ‘HOUSE FM’ radio station in early 2009 pushing sounds for the more discerning listener. After a season of shows, Miles returned to focus on productions.
Next up was a release penned for London Deep House imprint ‘Ornate Music’, ‘The Astrobiological Funk EP’, a three tracker consisting of the cuts, ‘interplanetary visitors’, ‘bounce theory’ and ‘twilight’. The release sold out and continues to pick up support from all corners.
Following that release, next up (14.2.11) was miles work for seminal uk techno imprint applied rhythmic technology (A.R.T.). After meeting Kirk Degiorgio, an invitation was given to record for the label. With a close working ethic, the end result was the 'Transmission EP', a 4 tracker, featuring a range of Miles' tougher dancefloor sounds along with abstract downtempo electronica.
Along with this release, Miles’ next concieved audio assault took place in the form of the next installment, “refined textures vol.1”. featuring for the first time on the imprint guest artists, friends 1dan & Bittersuite, alongside Miles. This was released 22.11.2011 after a great promo response
Remix duty followed with a remix for Myles Serge Clark's RE(FORM) recordings, a track by Kazuya Kawakami. Another remix followed for Belgium Label NOWAR, remixing Leonid's 'Feel' track. Miles also released a split EP on his label with Deepblak founder and co-owner of Future Vision recordings with Ron Trent, the ever effervescent AYBEE. This project was entitled 'The Eternal Radiance EP' .
Capping off a run of further releases with performances at GLADE festival (UK), positive sound system, Arthouse, Wax’d, Deepdown, Kerfuffle, 50arc and being a regular at the much lauded FREEROTATION festival (UK), along with countless other stand out spots.
