A clubnight held at Take Five Cafe on Thursday 16th December. The event starts at 20:00.

We are joining forces for the first time. Quite simply: the end is nigh.

Joining us on the night will be:

** Unfortunately Landslide cannot make this party, but we have none other than one of the UKs finest purveyors of percussive bruk'd up rhythms...

+ GREYMATTER aka Mr Bongo Bass (Brownswood/fat City/Tru Thoughts/ Mr Bongo bass)

+ KIDKUT (Applepips/Immerse)

+ THINKING (Reduction/Chemical Records)

+ HODGE (Well Rounded/Headrush)

Plus anti-hype support, and first Bristol show from:

+ THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE (End of Days)

GREYMATTER is a shapechanging master of groove and bass, a man very close to the heart of the exciting fusion of techno, house and broken drums that is so relevant now, having remixed and been remixed by such luminaries (and past visitors to UFO, Work and Crazylegs) as Karizma, TRG, Altered Natives, Illum Sphere, Mr Lager and Subeena. Releases on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood imprint and collaborations with the legendary Prince Fatty of On-U-Sound on the Mr Bongo Bass label are kicking off right now, and his madly diverse productions are getting more and more deadly by the minute.

KIDKUT is no newcomer, having co-run the pioneering Noir nights that brought some of the first dubstep line-ups to this city, and having founded the unquantifiably'on it' Immerse records. Having started to officially unleash some of his production work recently, drawing on his diverse musical expertise, Kidkut has been snapped up by Appleblim's label straight away. Phonica Records describing his tunes as combining"elements of broken beat, UK Funky & early dubstep"... just perfect.

Jacob Martin AKA Hodge has been causing quite a stir throughout 2010 firstly with his DJ sets, that combine a quite impeccable knowledge of techno, deep house, garage and the diaspora of dubstep-related strains of UK bass music with a sensitivity to the dancefloor that seems far more mature than his 22 years should allow. Secondly, his tunes are absolutely belting, containing elements of everything he listens to in a chameleon-like fashion that suggests that even though everything he's doing right now is smashing it - Jake hasn't even found his sound yet. A force to be reckoned with.

Thinking's another Bristol boy who's been lurking in the thick of it for years now. Owner of Reduction records, he is a key proponent of Bristol (and beyond) bass, having released tunes by Peverelist, Hyetal, Wedge, Elemental and Shadz. His set promises to deliver a wide selection of styles, with rare expertise and musical knowledge.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are described in the last book of the New Testament of the Bible, which tells of a scroll in God's right hand that is sealed with seven seals. Jesus Christ opens the first four of the seven seals, which summons forth the four beasts that ride on white, red, black, and pale horses which each symbolize Conquest, War, Famine, and Death, respectively. The four horsemen are to set a divine apocalypse upon Take Five Cafe as harbingers of the Last Judgment.
