Come and have a go at playing the Balinese Gamelan, an ornate set of percussion instruments comprising of bronze gongs and metallophones from Bali, Indonesia. Traditionally played at Hindu temple ceremonies, the music is sweet-sounding, enchanting and repetitive, often accompanying dance and trance.
In the beginners / drop in session, anyone is welcome to join and we will work through a simple traditional piece and learn how to play each of the instruments. All musical abilities and experience are welcome.
