A
event
on Wednesday 19th November. The event starts at 18:30.
Join local artist Amber Bardell at the lovely Terra Cafe and follow their mindful body connection technique to create your own painting with natural pigments. Amber forages natural mineral pigments and makes their own paints, which you will have the opportunity to use in this unique workshop. We’ll use the pigments to connect to nature, and follow a guided meditation to be present your body. Then using our creativity, we’ll respond to our meditation with small watercolour self-portrait paintings. You don’t need any experience to join this workshop, the techniques are simple and will be demonstrated. There is also no right way to interpret your body scan, and we aren’t aiming for realism in this class, it’s an invitation for intuitive play!
In this workshop you will learn a technique that you can take home with you and use to support feeling grounded and present in your body. The session aims to affirm your experience, and sometimes big emotions can arise. We offer space to gently explore our feelings through painting, whilst also respecting the group and the limited container of the session.
This is a perfect experience to do with a friend, or for a date, so why not take advantage of the two-ticket deal?
Natural pigment paints will be available to buy for an additional fee on the night, offering you a unique addition to add to your own creative wellbeing practice.
