A event on Wednesday 20th May. The event starts at 18:30.
In this workshop you’ll settle in to Terra Cafe’s cosy interior and be guided to create your own mixed media art piece, drawing from beautiful props, flowers and fruit on display.
We’ll begin with mark making exercises to create textures using natural watercolour and inks. Next you’ll explore the forms in the still life compositions in front of you, drawing from life. Then you’ll use the textures you’ve created alongside other collage materials to create a still life with texture and balance.
You’ll be guided through a demonstration of finding a nice composition, choosing a colour palette, and finally adding depth to your piece with additional painting towards the end.
No art experience is needed to join this workshop, it is suitable for both beginners and intermediates. All materials are included in your ticket price. We’ll be using high quality paper, ink, and watercolour to create pieces to be proud of.
