'remote Control' at The Alma Tavern Theatre
£10/£8

A event on Wednesday 4th November. The event starts at 20:00.

Tony Rowlands' new play takes unforgiving aim at TV comedy, climate change, fortune telling and incomprehensible management speak. An evening of brutal good humour, with original music and performances of beguiling intensity.

Why has Gabby Ponting's new sitcom been axed by management guru Roland Deverill? Why does he fear the intriguingly named Anton Dzech? And why is TV's Gilly Topps so popular?

Join aspiring actor Bing Bradley, call centre jockey and fortune teller Madam Osiris, television producer Wendy Woods and their cat, Binkie, in a breakneck search for answers to these riddles, and other intensely modern conundrums.

With original music by Phil Stevenson, designs by David Brown, multi-media by Si Truss & musical direction by Michael Clark, 'Remote Control' shamelessly exploits the artistry of Amy Clifton, Lucy Harrington, Sarah Howard, Ian Kane, Paul Harrison & Gill Loats. Binkie is playing herself.
