Recharge Rave
A clubnight on Friday 20th February. The event starts at 19:00.
Unplug and unwind from the week and start the weekend right with this playful communal dance session at The Arc, Bristol's number one sober community venue.
Acclimatise to the space with a guided warm-up led by snazzy showgirl and professional dancefloor shenanigator Lady Ray DHD. Then let loose as DJ Stef Mo (Shambolympics, Disco Neurotico) spins an eclectic musical journey, building from disco, afro house and global grooves, through UK garage and bassline, up to the more pumping end of the electronic music spectrum.
We'll also have a UV doodle wall where you can scrawl away to your heart's content, contributing to a unique collective art installation that evolves over the course of the event.
And at the end of the night, Lady Ray DHD will catch you and bring you gently back down to Earth, so you can head home energised and recharged - with no hangover to worry about on Saturday morning.
Recharge Rave is all about creating an inclusive, joyful space where you can throw shapes and express yourself however you wish. All guided movement elements are optional, so feel free to hang back if you'd prefer not to participate! We know that some people enjoy a bit of structure to their nights out, so it's there if you want it.
PLEASE NOTE that this is not a Disco Neurotico event. While we welcome anybody and everybody, the event is not 100% neuro-inclusive - for logistical reasons, we will not have provisions such as silent disco kit, separate calm space and wellbeing staff. The sound system will not be overbearingly loud, and the lights will not be strobing - the space is also wheelchair accessible. If you are unsure, please do reach out to us.
