Creative Social Evening & Book Launch
6 March 2026 | The Arc, Bristol
A creative evening for curious minds, deep feelers and people seeking meaningful connection.
Join multidisciplinary artist Kate Def0cused for the launch of Deconstructed Silence — an art book and self-identifying journal shaped through sobriety, navigating long-term health conditions, and rebuilding life through creative practice.
The evening blends reflection, music and conversation in a relaxed, alcohol-free space designed for presence and depth.
18:00 — Arrival, DJ & Connection
Arrive to music, alcohol-free cocktails and open conversation at The Arc, Bristol’s sober bar.
Each guest will receive a complimentary art card with a gentle guided prompt — a quiet moment to check in before the night unfolds.
19:00 — Talks & Shared Reflections
Kate shares the story behind Deconstructed Silence:
how self-identifying patterns and honest emotional check-ins became a powerful daily practice — supporting sobriety, navigating long-term conditions, and forming the foundation of this book.
Collaborators Mina Popa and Colette Lockett will speak about their involvement in the project and what it meant to contribute to a book rooted in vulnerability and creative truth.
Expect honesty, insight and thoughtful conversation.
