A new dance jam featuring Afro-diasporic jazz from the Swing Era onwards. DJ Grits and DJ Bani will be spinning jazz + swing from New Orleans and Harlem, plus South African kwela, and old school jazz from Nigeria, Cuba, Brazil and Jamaica. This month we’re celebrating Mardi Gras, so playing all the tastiest New Orleans music. Expect a "gumbo" of Jazz, Swing, Blues, RnB, Funk, Soul, Mento, Calypso, 2nd Line Brass, and Carnival tunes.
