A
clubnight
on Saturday 19th May. The event starts at 22:00.
The Basement are back with We're Going Deep, and this time with a special guest Reedale Rise who hails from Liverpool and has received numerous plaudits throughout Europe for his deep techno and electro. He has had vinyl releases on labels including Frustrated Funk most recently, Emotions Electric. We are very excited to welcome him down for this live set.
His biography says that... "his teenage years were spent listening obsessively to drum and bass mixes taped from the radio, with LTJ Bukem's Essential Mix in 1996 and Goldie's Timeless album being pivotal influences in terms of his current sound design and musical moods. Cutting his serious clubbing teeth at Liverpool's Bugged Out! parties, led him deeper into the world of house and techno, with Derrick May and Carl Craig becoming ongoing influences and inspirations."
Placid will be representing We're Going Deep radio show and online group, dedicated to the very best from the deeper realms of electronic music. He has secured a reputation for his commitment to high standards and nigh on obsessive love for underground dance tunes over more years than he'd comfortably acknowledge.
The Basement do one-off special events under Treasure charity shop on Stokes Croft. Tired of spiralling door prices and identikit tunes in most conventional clubs they have decided to grow their own diverse community in their own way, in a safe and welcoming space.
