Duncan Anselm Quartet at The Be-bop Club
£6.00/5.00

A gig held at The Be-Bop Club on Friday 2nd November. The event starts at 20:00.

Alto saxophonist Duncan Anselm was a prominent player on the Bristol scene through the late eighties and early nineties, both with his own band and as an original member of Mingus Fingers. Having moved away from the area it's been many years since he's played at the club, but now living not too far away he's formed this new band with the excellent Dale Hambridge on piano, and two of the busiest musicians over in Bath, Ralf Dorrell - double bass and Rob Brian - drums. Rob has been particularly active recently, releasing a drum tuition DVD'Technique and Musicality' and teaching for many drum clinics. The band play hard grooving tunes from the Blue Note era from the likes of Hank Mobley, Grant Green and Sonny Clark.
