This trio were heard recently hosting one of the jam sessions at the Stag and Hounds and impressed greatly with their well structured set and careful use of the chordless instrumentation. Very much a cooperative venture, the compositions developed as a group make full use of the available pallet of sounds. You can hear the earthy influence of the down town New York scene as well as the avant garde. Shades of Tim Berne, Chris Speed et al as well as a plethora of influences from within the more straight ahead jazz tradition also - all played with heart and beauty in this highly interactive and musical trio.
