A gig on Saturday 20th May. The event starts at 19:30.
The Orchestra plays a very varied repertoire including 20th cent. composers such as Bela Bartok, Eric Satie and Gustav Holst, along with both standard (i.e. tango, French chanson) and not so standard (Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Middle Eastern music) mandolin orchestra pieces as well as film music by Ennio Morricone and other composers.
For this evening's concert they will be performing music from the movies and beyond.A special concert featuring the Ensemble performing an exclusive set of film music and other pieces. Pieces by Jean Claude Petit, Charlie Chaplin and of course the master himself Ennio Morricone. Be transported back to films like Master and Commander, Jean de Floret and Once Upon a Time in the West.
Solo spots featuring members of the band will also be included.
