The Longest Songs at The Bear, Hotwells
See event details

A gig on Sunday 9th March. The event starts at 18:00.

This is a new session specifically to give the opportunity for performance of ballads, stories and poems, traditional or contemporary, spoken or sung, with or without instruments, short or long.

All performers, audience and genres are welcome. The key is to tell a tale using whatever medium works for you, for an attentive and appreciative audience who are settled in to enjoy the evening.

If you can tell your story or sing your ballad in thirty seconds, no problem. But equally, if you have a thirty verse version of Tam Lin in your back pocket, which you never get the chance to sing, this is your time to shine!

Bar snacks will be available, or bring your own food if you want.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
