Grove is a new series of events built on the values of nurturing community, inclusivity and diversity. It brings together eclectic musical groups for life-enhancing gatherings of joyful music, seed planting and connection. (Full programme below)
After successful seed sowing at the first event which sold out, the second Grove will see community garden planting and musical offerings from Dovetail Orchestra member Özcan Ates, plus parent and baby BYOB choir and the epic OAK choir.
And that’s not all. There will be a pop up Syrian restaurant, clothes swap with in-house tailor, photography exhibition and The Beehive Singing Circle invite you to take part in a very special workshop.
To avoid disappointment it is advisable to book your food now for the Syrian pop up restaurant which will be serving food from 5-6pm.
FREE tickets for asylum seekers, carers and children under 12.
This is a fully wheelchair accessible event.

Community garden planting - if you came to the first GROVE bring your seedlings from last time!

3:45 - 4:15 pm
The Beehive Singing Circle - a joyful inclusive singing workshop led by Rachael Dadd. Simple, fun songs accessible to everyone. Intergenerational. Intercultural. No experience needed. All welcome to sing.
4:30 - 5:10pm in St Ambrose Church (right next door to the community centre)

5:15pm - Serving up from the Beehive Centre
Syrian Pop Up Restaurant. All vegan and gluten free. We advise you buy your food tickets from headfirst in advance to avoid disappointment. We will share the menu with you in the coming days.
6:15pm - St Ambrose Church
Özcan Ates - Anatolian melodies with his breath and timbre.
Özcan, a celebrated voice of Dovetail Orchestra, will be performing his compositions and songs from his homelands of Turkey. A beautiful deep and spacious sound of rich melodic vocals accompanied by his bağlama and a guitarist. https://ozcanates.my.canva.site
