Trans+ Community Rest

After such a turbulent Spring, Laura & Leonie are offering an afternoon for Trans & gender non-conforming folk to come together, lean into community and be held in gentle & restful yoga practices & massage.

Leonie (they/he) is a local yoga facilitator and Laura (they/them) a massage therapist & bodyworker. We both work within the queer community, offering trauma-informed, radical & accessible spaces to support embodiment & community care.

The afternoon will involve:
* sharing circles (to open & close)
* accessible breathwork & gentle movement
* yoga nidra (guided restful meditation)
* massage from Laura
* self-massage and/or partner massage (optional)

Everything on offer is optional and Leonie & Laura will offer ways to support you to engage in ways that feel comfortable and safer for you. Practices on offer are with accessibility in mind - you can practice from a chair, be on a mat on the floor, stim, take time out as you need, bring all the things that support you to feel comfortable and to be in the space. If you have any questions / want to talk about specific access needs, drop Leonie an email: [email protected]

Maximum 12 participants.

This event is FREE for participants.

We are offering the first round of tickets to folks most marginalised within the Trans community/impacted by recent legislative changes: Trans femme / Trans women and Trans people of colour. Tickets will be available for these communities for one week, before they become open to the whole trans & gender non-conforming community.

We have set up ‘Donation Tickets’ for supportive members of the community & allies to offer financial support which will go towards: room hire, refreshments, travel costs if needed & facilitation costs. Participants are also welcome to buy a donation ticket if you want to!
