The Daturas began as a slightly psychedelic folk band in Wiltshire and have been developing a live set ever since, merging their love of 60s/70s music with contemporary influences including Grizzly Bear and Fleet Foxes. Jozeph also attributes a lot of The Daturas' sound and lyrics to his time as a'water gypsy', living on a refurbished 1950's lifeboat.

Supporters include BBC Introducing, BBC Bristol and BBC Wiltshire, who have featured and interviewed the band several times. The Daturas have played Communion's club night among other London shows and performed at Glastonbury, Sunrise and Fieldview festivals.

'Overlooked by the End' is the debut EP from The Daturas, produced and mixed by Communion's Ian Grimble and mastered by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios.
