'Storytelling at its best, utterly mesmerising and deeply touching' Michael Morpurgo

An unforgettable story of friendship, bravery, and belonging, by an award-winning Finnish neurodivergent storyteller. Beautifully illustrated with pages from Lumi's Forest Diary.

When Lumi, an autistic girl from London, arrives in Lapland, her aunt and uncle warn her of the wild white wolf. But when Lumi meets him and learns he's being hunted, she decides to do whatever it takes to save his life. With the help of local boy Oskár, she sets off on a perilous quest across snowy fells to reach the national park where Wolf will be safe. To survive, Lumi must trust the things that make her who she is: her sharp senses, the patterns she sees in the forests, and her fierce determination – before the hunters catch up.

Lottie Saahko is originally from Finland, was raised in various countries and now lives in London. She is an award-winning author and speaker, TV presenter, and content creator, with eleven books published in Finnish under the name Lotta-Sofia Saahko. Lumi and the Wolf is her first English novel. Lottie enjoys writing on themes of neurodivergence, third culture kids, identity and nature. You can find Lottie and her 30k+ followers on Instagram at @lottiesaahko.
