A Malaysian Inspired Evening

Join us for a Malaysian inspired evening with music from Retini, a Bristol based singer-songwriter with Malaysian heritage, and special guest Brian Inglis. We will be serving a Malaysian style buffet along with cocktails influenced by South East Asian flavours all included in the price.   This promises to be an evening of great food, music and fun and I highly recommend early booking.

Retini has links to both Indonesia and Malaysia. However, she was raised in Queens, New York USA before settling in Bristol, UK. Having started her musical journey with some twists and turns over the years, her songs often speak about various aspects of life with an emphasis on the unplugged acoustic folk genre.
 
Her songwriting has been influenced by great folk singers of the 1960’s and she has drawn inspiration from a wide range of different artists and genres. This Autumn she will be releasing her second EP which she is currently working on. Within her set expect some Malaysian/Indonesian folk songs.

Brian Inglis was born in the UK with a Malaysian mother and Anglo-Indian father and still has connections in Malaysia and Pakistan. His association with music goes back to his schooldays and he has a long history of live music performance as a musician in function bands to big bands, blues bands and duo's and now as solo artist.
 
He is a singer/songwriter and has experimented and written in various genres of music from pop to country rock to blues and jazz pop. So expect a little bit of each!

He has released five albums two EPs and a number of singles.
