on Saturday 23rd July. The event starts at 20:00.
Bristol is an incredible city for improv comedy and we are going to celebrate it!
For the first time ever at this year’s Bristol Fringe Festival, a collection of players from Bristol’s leading improv teams are performing together for a night packed with talent, energy and ideas.
Inspired by stories from two incredible special guests, our improvisers will do what they do best, and create spontaneous sketches and scenes to keep you belly-laughing throughout the night!
FEATURING GUEST SPEAKER CAROLINE BURROWS (@VERSECYCLE)
Caroline Burrows’ poetry has featured on BBC Radio 4, been printed in BBC Sky at Night Magazine, and been shown at the Sheffield Adventure and Kendal Mountain Film Festivals. Her short stories have been published in The National Flash Fiction Anthology and The Lancaster One Minute Monologues. She has written articles for several publishers including Cycling UK & Adventure Cyclist magazines, worked with cycling theatre company The HandleBards, and is taking her own one-woman cycling poetry show on tour again this Summer.
AND OUR VERY OWN KIERANN SHAH!
Kierann is an experienced improviser, workshop leader and facilitator who has been based in Leicester for the past few years, programming improv at the theatre Upstairs at the Western and performing with Midlands improv group Tiny Stories. She took over as Artistic Director of the Bristol Improv Theatre in May 2022.
Kierann’s professional career has focused on STEM communication, working in various strategic and leadership roles for the National Space Academy and the Association of Science and Discovery Centres.
And what’s more, the event is free! Although we do recommend you reserve your space through our website.
