on Saturday 15th June. The event starts at 20:00.
Crinkle Cuts was born into a Funk, Ska and Reggae family back in mid-2010, but there was always something that set them apart from the crowd. As an 8-piece growing up in Bristol, the crowds nurtured their unique mix of styles, inventive song-writing and original cover versions and at less than a year old, Crinkle Cuts landed their first mini festival at Youth 4 Youth supporting The King Blues.
Shortly after, their first E.P. was conceived, dubbed"First Cuts". Nick Tann of the Is This Thing On? Podcast decided to take it under his wing, saying that"Crinkle Cuts are bloody brilliant and their first E.P. is insanely good fun! " Following the release, Crinkle Cuts ventured out from home for the first time to headline the Dublin Castle, London who had this to say about them: "Crinkle Cuts proffer a bonkers but engaging mix of funk and ska, dipping a toe in rag-time jazz and anything else to hand: an eclectic and fun mix. Bonzo Dog Band via Talking Heads maybe. Grand. "
Now just over two years old, the Crinkles family have established themselves on the Bristol circuit, supporting touring acts such as Tyrannosaurus Alan and East Park Reggae Collective and have enjoyed airplay on 93.2 BCFM, most recently on the Jelli Records Show. They have recently released new single Hey People from forthcoming E.P. "Bandits of Skrunk" and are heavily pregnant with 3 more tracks due for liberation in early 2013.
The guys will kick their show off at 10 pm, but feel free to join us for a few hours before with a few drinks to get the joints loosened up for what promises to be a great couple of hours of dancing!
