“Birty” is the project of saxophonist, vocalist and producer Hannah-Mae Birtwell. Hannah has gained recognition performing with numerous projects including Nubiyan Twist, TC & The Groove Family and Dargz across the UK and Europe. Whilst studying jazz in Leeds, Hannah was captivated by the city's vibrant electronic music scene. After becoming a well-established DJ, she began producing music that combined saxophone with her passion for electronic grooves — this is when Birty was born. Now based in London, Birty has established herself in the city’s music scene, recently performing her debut headline show at 91 Living Room on Brick Lane to a packed-out crowd, showcasing a full set of original music.
