The compelling desert rhythms of Gnawa music have been driving traditional trance-dance rituals for centuries. In this London-based collective Moroccan master musician Simo Lagnawi combines the raw bass sound of his guembri with electric guitar, drums and a changeable roster of UK guest musicians to whip up an equally compelling version for the 21st century.
