High energy music ‘of Eastern origin’ - that’s Balko-klezmer to you or me, with maybe a splash of Greco-Turkish thrown in. Once awarded a ‘Best Klezmer Newcomer’ award they still find room in their repertoire for a 17 Hippies cover version, albeit complete with Gypsy violins.
