Downbeat Melody sound system plays Jamaican music from its beginning to the late seventies by and large. Steve Rice grew up in Brixton and built his first sound in 1970 so his influences are from the golden age of reggae.
Downbeat has been going in Bristol for over ten years and stays true to its roots presenting the music how traditional sound system did back then.
With co selectors Frankie and Paul Solution from Solution sound system we bring the party to the people with the focus on the selection and good times.
