The Stokes Croft Calling Show at The Canteen
See event details

A event held at The Canteen on Saturday 9th November. The event starts at 16:00.

Join us in celebrating Stokes Croft’s spirit of independence, creativity, and resistance through a series of playful performances and interactive experiences happening at venues all along the street. Our charismatic hosts will guide you to different locations, stopping off to listen to live music and poetry performances, and watch unique dance performances created especially for Stokes Croft Calling.

Whether you attended our first day of performances and workshops on the 27th October, or you missed out on the day - The Stokes Croft Calling Show is your chance to experience what you missed, remixed anew. See key works from the street, re-formatted or re-imagined, with some totally new content especially for this event. Hear the Synth composition created at Elevator Sound, read love letters to Stokes Croft written by your eloquent selves, see the final mural artwork you created unveiled, meet the artists and see more performance!

The Stokes Croft Calling show begins in the Canteen at 4pm on Saturday the 9th of November. It will then move along Stokes Croft in a promenade performance and finish at BIMM by 6pm.

Tickets for this event are £5 which can then be refunded after your attendance to the event, or cashed in as a voucher to spend in a Stokes Croft independent business.

This is a family friendly performance and children are permitted. Please book a ticket for each person in attendance - this includes children and babies in pushchairs. This event is wheelchair accessible however there are sections of walking down the street in Stokes Croft. There is a mixture of standing and seated at each venue. We aim to ensure that this event is accessible to all, but in order to do this we ask individuals to please contact us in advance to discuss specific access needs, so we can work with you to try and meet these ([email protected]).
