Bournemouth born ukulele strummer Kitty Stewart bridges the worlds of contemporary folk and comedy-pop with rich, soulful vocals and a captivating stage presence.
Her lyrics are charming and heart-warming, telling tales that take you on adventures across the globe and deep into your heart - weaving themes of environmental activism, feminism and all things weird and wonderful. Imagine a cheeky cocktail of Lily Allen, Kate Nash, Beans on Toast and Rising Appalachia and that's what you get - a fun, passionate and uplifting Kitty Stewart with a strong British accent of lyrics fuelled by the fire in her belly for social and climate justice.
Renowned for her performances on Waterloo Bridge during the 2019 Extinction Rebellion protests, alongside top performances from her across the south west and air time on BBC Radio Bristol. Kitty's repertoire has been growing just like her fan base, including a new hilarious comedy act known as 'Comedy Kitty' hitting the music, comedy and festival scenes this year. She’s a real naughty treat!
With a natural ability to move and inspire her audience emotionally as well as physically, Kitty involves her audience in her performance, encouraging crowd participation through song and dance and never failing to win the crowds with her popular covers with a twist and epic medleys, including disney spin offs, 90’s dance and old skool garage comebacks!
