Dazzling young Scottish accordionist Andrew Waite got his first recording deal aged 15 - that’s how good he was then and he’s gone on to greater things, both as a solo performer and in the equally brilliant band Dallahan. Naturally, folk supremo Eliza Carthy nabbed him for her Wayward Band supergroup and even Sting’s added him to his live band on occasion. Andrew’s debut solo album Tyde is a cracking showcase of one of the UK folk scene’s new heroes.
