Born out of the snake pit of LS6 house parties, Vipertime draw from the depths of spiritual jazz and post punk to create improvised music for the dance floor, combining the mesmeric forms and harmonies of 70s Addis with the ferocity of 60s Detroit.
Back with their long anticipated second album Arise, Vipertime explore the borders of modal jazz, post-punk, dub and afrobeat. The record displays a driving sound that is simultaneously unique to the band and a microcosm of the thriving UK scene.
