Kangaroo Moon - Psycho-celtic folk fusion at The Canteen

A gig held at The Canteen on Thursday 27th August. The event starts at 20:30.

Kangaroo Moon weave many strands from world, rock, folk and ambient with acoustic and electronic influences into a funky, psychedelic, heart lifting wall of sound. Trancey and richly melodic, listeners experience a sound which unites body and soul in deep joyful elemental dance. Their sheer commitment and skill involved in wooing an audience to fly is inspiring and evocative.

The band have recorded many albums since they began - Mark Robson, Matt Ledgar, David Williams and Elliet Mackrell being the originators. They are equally at home at festivals, dance clubs, pubs, weddings, parties etc and have played their way through more than a few permutations of global sound touring extensively in Australia, Europe and America. The band has performed at Glastonbury, Womad, Phoenix, Guildford, Mistelbach (Austria), Sfinks (Belgium), Oerol( Netherlands), Woodford, Maleny and The National Folk Festival. (Oz).
