Whether it’s classic finger style or swooping dobro slide he’s playing Leo James is a distractingly good acoustic guitarist. If you look beyond the fancy fretwork, however, you’ll also notice he’s a fine writer of straightforward songs in the contemporary folk tradition and his easy-toned vocals are a treat, too.
