Los Kamer is a fusion band that mixes Latin rhythms and Balkan beats into all-original compositions. Founded in Ixtapaluca (Mexico), they have been musical nomads whose sound has reached Europe, where they have completed successfully eight tours between 2015 and 2024.
Their music follows the flourishing of BalkanMex and is influenced by Äl Jawala, Besh o Drom, Fanfare Ciocârlia, Taraf de Haïdouks, Amsterdam Klezmer Band, Manu Chao and Emir Kusturica, for whom they opened a concert on October 6th, 2022 as part of his farewell tour with The Non Smoking Orchestra. Also in October but 2023 they opened the show of another big influence, Dubioza Kolektiv from Bosnia, on their first tour in Mexico.
Los Kamer achieves their own unique sound by merging Latin and Balkan rhythms with Jazz, Swing, Western, Klezmer, Romani, Gypsy Punk and traditional Mexican music. The result is an explosive and enthralling set that is both celebratory and profound, guaranteed to make anyone jump up and let loose as well as a subtle ode to the outcasts of this world.
