The Colosseum

The Colosseum

Old-school watering hole revamped

Dating from the 1960s, the Colosseum is a medium-sized pub and venue situated opposite St Mary Redcliffe church and a stone’s throw from Bristol's harbourside. In 2023 it was saved from redevelopers by the team behind The Crown and The Mother’s Ruin, who modernised the pub interior but kept its much-loved outer facade.

The venue has a roof terrace and a capacity of 150. It hosts live jazz every Saturday as well as regular DJ takeovers, with past bookings including Felix Joy, D.A.D, SPICYIVY, Revrt, Joe Koshin, Erratic Batting and Sourdough Disco. Doors stay open until 4am on weekends.

There is step-free access into the venue via the terrace, and an accessible toilet is located on the ground floor.
