A
event
on Friday 7th March. The event starts at 18:30.
Working with clay is deeply therapeutic so why not come and have a play as an act of self-care? Meet other queer folks while learning how to hand-build a clay vessel / vase. You will learn the skills of pinching, coiling and constructing clay and adding surface texture design. The workshop is suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners. You can choose a beautiful glaze for your pottery at the end of the workshop.
This workshop is facilitated by queer ceramic artist and pottery tutor, Jasmine. After the workshop, your pottery will be left with Jasmine for her to glaze and fire for you. It will be ready to collect within a few weeks. With Jasmine's background in Psychotherapy, she is able to hold a safe and welcoming space for you to explore and express yourself through clay. Jasmine has been making pottery professionally for a decade and teaching pottery classes for 5 years.
Everything you need to complete the workshop will be provided - all you need to bring is your wonderful-self!
