Recognised as one of the most outstanding jazz musicians of the past 30 years, Howard's worked with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Carter, Clark Terry, Ruby Braff, Joe Williams and Woody Herman. Perhaps his most celebrated collaboration, however, was with George Van Eps, master of the 7-string guitar. They made several albums together and Howard now specialises on the 7-string. He was chosen by Woody Allen to provide the guitar parts"ghosted" by Sean Penn in the classic movie'Sweet & Lowdown' where his mastery of Django Reinhardt's style is showcased perfectly.
Joined by bassist Greg Cordez and drummer Mark Whitlam, this will be a great gig - guaranteed!
