Her Name Is Calla at The Croft, Bristol
£6adv/£7

A gig held at The Croft on Saturday 16th April. The event starts at 20:00.

Over the last couple of years the Leeds-based five-piece Her Name Is Calla have gained a reputation as one of the most original and jaw-dropping live bands around. Their brand of post-rock can be as powerful and chaotic as it is quietly devastating and nowhere is this better realised than on the live stage.

Last years full-length album'The Quiet Lamb' received rave reviews across the board with Drowned In Sound going as far to say, "there can be no denying that Her Name Is Calla are one of the most daring, unconventional bands the UK has to offer right now.'

This show, the bands first in Bristol, is part of their headline European tour and promises to be one of the must-see shows of 2011. Support comes from hotly-tipped newcomers To Bury A Ghost, who released their debut EP The Hurt Kingdom last year and will also be playing their first show in Bristol.

Tickets are £6adv (£7 on the door) - supply is limited so please order in advance to avoid any problems on the night. Tickets are available via http://www.GoldFlakePaint.co.uk.
