Sunset Images + Troy The Band at The Croft
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Punk-powered psychedelic noise maelstrom sighted off the Gulf of Mexico, and it’s headed right this way! Get your ears in range of Sunset Images and be blasted by red-lined rage, industrial feedback theatrics and motorik drum pulse. Paired with Troy the Band’s titanic stoner doom, this is the perfect prescription FFO: A Place To Bury Strangers, Loop, Boris, Spacemen 3."

A gig held at The Croft on Saturday 11th April. The event starts at 20:00.

Extra Terrestrial Promotions & Velvet Echoes are proud to present a cross atlantic collision of psych and noise; Mexico's Sunset Images & London's Troy The Band shall meet for a night of raucous sounds, embodied by stunningly loud and experimental soundscapes.

Sunset Images

Born in the depths of Mexico City, Sunset Images is the sonic project of Samuel Osorio, blending krautrock, shoegaze, and punk into a raw, distorted soundscape charged with emotional intensity. Known for their ferocious live performances, the band has toured extensively across multiple continents and released a run of EPs and an LP tackling themes of violence, racism, misogyny, loneliness, and despair.

Now joining Dedstrange—the label founded by Oliver Ackermann (A Place To Bury Strangers, Death By Audio)—Sunset Images have found a home that matches their uncompromising vision. Their new album “Oscillator”, out 23 January 2026, is a visceral collision of fractured synths, pounding rhythms, and feedback-drenched guitars: brutal, chaotic, and beautifully honest.

Troy The Band

Troy The Band is an amorphous blend of doom, shoegaze, noise rock and metal based in London, UK that seeks to envelope their audiences in a wall of sound both familiar and strange.

Following the release of their acclaimed debut album Cataclysm in 2024, the band are set to release their sophomore album in early 2026 as a collaborative project celebrating London’s vibrant underground heavy-music community, with guest vocals across the album from members of Elephant Tree, Believe in Nothing, Black Groove, Codex Serafini, Black Orchids, and others.
