Ital Tek (Planet Mu, Atom River)

Having been first signed to Planet Mu back in 2007 with the dark industrial sounding dubstep of his'Blood Line EP', Ital Tek (AKA Alan Myson) has been stunning crowds with his unique sound ever since. With a string of EPs plus two albums, 'Cyclical' and'Midnight Colour', following on Planet Mu, and releases on his own label Atom River, Ital Tek has evolved a sound drawing influence from a plethora of electronic music genres, including dubstep, hip hop, techno and the recent addition of Chicago juke and footwork as seen in his new'The Planet EP'. He pulls together all these styles, weaving them with evocative melodies and driving dancefloor rhythms, all immaculately produced, to make some of the most energetic and involving electronic dance music tracks around today. His sound has won much critical acclaim, including the support of Mary Anne Hobbs, with an exclusive track of his featured as the opener to her Evangeline compilation, showcasing the best of the dubstep and bass music scene, and guest mixes on her BBC Radio 1 show. With a new album hotly anticipated in late 2012, Ital Tek is sure to put on a set not to be missed.
