A
gig
held at The Croft
on Saturday 16th July. The event starts at 22:00pm.
MUTANTA was formed in 2014, and has rocked dance floors and festival fields at events including:
Shindig Weekender 2014 and 2015; Boomtown Fair 2014 and 2015; ADM Festival Amsterdam 2014; Glastonbury 2015 and Bristol Trinity Centre 2016.
MUTANTA's sound is a hard to categories cocktail of drum and bass, rave, punk, funk and pycho-cabaret, all played loud and live. Lyrics and attitude are informed by a desire to question and satirise the political status quo. Our live shows are increasingly visual, costume oddities and theatrical mutations frequently feature.
MUTANTA is:
Ren Reynolds: drums. Ren was a founder member of Dead Silence Syndicate a ground breaking live breakbeat band with a cult following in the UK and beyond. He is renowned for his super fast and tight drumming style.
Fin Mason: bass. Also previously in Dead Silence, Fin is a bass ninja extrordinare with an endless supply of killer bass lines and a secret FX weapon up his sleeve.
Oli Cumming: piano, synths and koas. Oli is also known as Rimski, purveyor of the famous festival favourite Rimski's Bicycle Piano. He brings his own unique performance style and multi tasking skills to the bands live shows.
Enzo Palazoni: guitar and vocals. Enzo is a legendary musician and performer with a well developed sense of the absurd. He is a member of Tony Clifton's Circus the internationally infamous clowns and is an key collaborator in diverse adventurous projects including the Invisible Circus, the Bristol Fantasy Orchestra and Loveboat.
Miranda la Mutanta: Vocals, synth, musical saw. Artist, illustrater, performer, song writer and bee enthusiast, Miranda has long been entangled in shows and tours across the squats, protest and festivals of Europe and beyond. She has very happy memories of Fusion Festival 2001, 2003 and 2004.
