A gig held at The Croft on Saturday 26th September. The event starts at 13:00.
From loud acoustic, to louder three piece, and onwards as an even huger-sounding new band, Oxygen Thief has been playing riffs under this name for two decades now.
This show is a mini festival with some of my favourite bands and solo performers that I've met over the last twenty years.

--------------------------
Oxygen Thief
3 piece riff rock with mathy tendancies fronted by Bristol songwriter Barry Dolan. Starting out with a mission to be the loudest, heaviest acoustic act around, turning into a louder three piece, Oxygen Thief has toured with Möngöl Hörde, InMe, Jonah Matranga, played 2000 Trees and ArcTanGent festivals many times, and released three albums (the most recent two via Xtra Mile Recordings, home of Million Dead, Crazy Arm, Reuben).
Other Half
Incredible noisy trio from Norwich, recently seen supporting Los Campesinos and regular highlights of 2000 Trees/ArcTanGent festivals.
Arid Wave
Southampton riff-worshippers who have been chatting with Oxygen Thief about playing shows together for ages. This seemed like as good a place to start as any.
B-Sydes (full band)
A rare noisy outing for usually-acoustic songwriter Ben Sydes. Currently working on a new album, this will be a fun start to the evening’s bands.
Ben Marwood
Singer, songwriter, gardener. Long time tour buddy to Oxygen Thief/Non Canon over the years and Xtra Mile Recordings labelmate, Ben is making a rare live appearance outside of his native Reading.
Jim Lockey
A solo show without his band The Solemn Sun, Jim is also part of the Xtra Mile Recordings family. Jim, Ben, and Oxygen Thief released a split album in 2009 entitled "Exclamation At Asterisk Hash".
Sarah Carey
DIY punk singer-songwriter from somewhere between Leeds and Bradford who writes about gender identity, feminism, mental health and drinking too much buckfast. Sarah's music style draws influence from both punk and folk music, combining self-deprecating lyrics and open-tuned riffs in equal measure.
Oli Duerden
Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist one quarter of Bristol riff-chiefs Left Side Brain and alumnus of Somerset post-rock recluses Blueneck. Oli has released two solo EPs so far.
