THANK + PENANCE STARE at Crofters Rights
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Music this good shouldn’t be free entry (that’s why it’s pay what you can….). Double bill of self-hating, boundary-pushing noise-rock from Leeds dirge-masters, Thank; and blackened darkwave death metal insanity from Newcastle’s Penance Stare (who just destroyed the main stage at Supernormal). Fans of These New Puritans, The Body, The Fall, Daughters, Striborg, Alcest, Lycia, Deafheaven; you’d be a fool to miss this."

THANK
“Utilising phat grooves and electronic scrapings to bring noise rock kicking and screaming into the
volatile 2020s, Thoughtless Cruelty is snotty and abrasive, fuelled by impotent rage.”
JR Moores, The Quietus

“A kind of mad melding of Pissed Jeans and Lady Gaga.”
Dominic Haley, Loud and Quiet

“This Leeds band pairs brawny arrangements with furious, bug-eyed vocals.”
