With a hard drive holding everything from Portishead to FKA Twigs to Joni Mitchell, Elliot Brett’s love for intimate, leftfield songwriting shines through his music.
Recently fleshed out with a six piece live band, his circuit board ballads combine deeply confessional songwriting with samplers, synthesisers and live instrumentation, mixing seamlessly to create a genre-spanning sound with everything from trip hop to techno to jazz.

Due to the thin walls, uptight roommates, and lack of equipment in his Brooklyn apartment in 2014, Tree House began as a decidedly minimalist project. Over time, Will Fortna has developed a less constrained approach, reflecting the eclecticism of his musical interests, from Pharoah Sanders to Chairlift; Mulatu Astatke to David Byrne.
Their debut six-track EP, Into the Ocean, non-chronologically catalogues Fortna's evolution, featuring members of the live band for the first time on record. The EP is already available, via Memorial Of Distinction, both digitally and on cassette.
