See event details

A gig held at The Croft on Thursday 22nd January. The event starts at 20:00.

Extra Terrestrial Promotions & Velvet Echoes are proud to announce their first show of 2026 featuring the long-awaited return of Black Market Karma. Few artists have embraced the mantra of neo-psychedelia as whole heartedly as this collective, whose relentless pursuit of experimentation has produced a prolific discography with no signs of slowing. With 11 studio albums to their name, you can be sure to hear varying influences from traditional indian music, lofi hip-hop, electronica, and 60's psych. Despite their stunning range they remain one of the most listenable bands of the modern psych era - witness their breathtaking live performance at the Croft on January 22nd! Support on the evening comes from Waterpistol, a band renowned for their effortless blend of psych and shoegaze.

Black Market Karma

Formed in London in 2011 and now based in Dover, Black Market Karma is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Stanley Belton. Working from his own “Cocoon” studio, Belton writes, records, and produces the band’s expansive body of work — a kaleidoscopic blend of 60s guitar pop, fuzzy psychedelia, lo-fi electronica, and hip-hop-tinged grooves. Over the years, the band has evolved from guitar-driven psych to lush, experimental soundscapes, as heard on The Technicolour Liquid Audio Machine. Known for collaborations with Tess Parks and Sonic Boom and tours alongside The Black Angels and The Warlocks, Black Market Karma continue to push the boundaries of modern psychedelia with their distinctive DIY spirit and hypnotic live energy.

WaterPistol

Hailing from Cardiff, Waterpistol are a six-piece psych-rock collective fusing 60s rock ’n’ roll swagger with the dreamy haze of 90s shoegaze. Formed in late 2022, the band quickly made waves with their debut single “Living In A Dream” and follow-up “Où est ton âme?”, recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios. Their sound is a vibrant mix of jangly guitars, dual vocals, and hypnotic rhythms that channel both nostalgia and modern edge. With performances at Sŵn Festival, FOCUS Wales, and Green Man already under their belt, Waterpistol are fast becoming an exciting new must see psych act
